Shoutmon (シャウトモン Shautomon?) is a fictional character from the Digimon media franchise. He is the Digimon partner of Taiki Kudo and a main character in the Digimon Xros Wars anime series. Shoutmon is a ferocious Digimon with extremely high aggressiveness due to hot-blooded enthusiasm, yet friendly towards his comrades. He enjoys singing and wields a microphone for leisure and to help in combat, his chances of winning depending on the amount of passion he has.[1][2][3]

Shoutmon is a ferocious Digimon with extremely high aggressiveness due to its hot-blooded enthusiasm. However, it is friendly towards its comrades, and its friendship with other Digimon, surpassing species, can be deepened even further if they are recognized by Shoutmon. There is a unique feature to Shoutmon's singing that converts its passion to energy, and since Shoutmon won't give up fighting unless its passion disappears, this is the reason Shoutmon is said to be a ferocious Digimon with high aggressiveness. On one hand it seems ferocious, but on the other it is said to love music and songs, and it likes to hum songs with natural sounding background music like the sound of the wind, raindrops, the murmuring of a river, or the stirring of leaves on a tree. Because it can often become too enthusiastic in its song, accidentally letting off its "Soul Crusher" even though there aren't any enemies, it's probably safest to leave the spot at once if Shoutmon starts singing, so that it doesn't notice you. Shoutmon itself is said to have the mysterious trait of always having its MacField-brand mic in its possession, and a Shoutmon without the mic is not really a Shoutmon. It is said that a Shoutmon that has completely lost its mic will rapidly lose power from the shock of not being a Shoutmon anymore, and before long it will have wasted away. Therefore, you should never play a practical joke like hiding the mic. Incidentally, it can wield the mic as in bōjutsu, so it is excellent not only in scuffling matches but also in performances.[4]

Digimon Xros Wars

He is a resident of the Village of Smiles with a desire to become the Digimon King so he can protect everyone in the Green Zone. Heavily wounded during battle against the Green Zone's Bagra Army faction under MadLeomon, Shoutmon manages to receive aid from Taiki as he, Akari, and Zenjiro are drawn to the Digital World. Eventually, the two work together in defeating MadLeomon and founded Xros Heart before learning of the Code Crowns that could fulfill Shoutmon's dream and other groups with human general. However, once all Code Crowns are gathered in one place , Bagramon makes his move and causes a dimensional rift to open to suck Taiki and Shoutmon in along with Akari and Zenjiro.

The warp leads back to the Real World, and Shoutmon shrank during the transfer he spent a day in the real world before he and his human friends are attacked by Tactimon while he regained his normal size. Digivolving to OmegaShoutmon and defeating Tactimon, Shoutmon manages to return to the Digital World with Taiki. Upon their re-entry, Shoutmon finds that Bagramon warped and rebuilt the Digital World in his image with the Seven Death Generals placed in charge over the seven lands. To combat them, Shoutmon and Xros Heart join forces with Blue Flare.
